How do I uninstall or cancel my service?

  1. Go to the CONTROL PANEL, and select ADD/REMOVE PROGRAMS.
  2. Look for one of the following entries (based on the version you have), and click CHANGE/REMOVE:
  3. Click YES at the warning prompt.
  4. If you are connected to the Internet, you will be prompted for the password you used to set up the account. Please note, this is not a password override feature--this is a one-time action to remove the filter permanantly from your computer. You will need to sign up for a new account or call Technical Support to reactivate a previously deactivated account.
  5. If you are not connected to the Internet, you will be provided an ID NUMBER. You'll have the option to reconnect to the Internet, or call Technical Support for an unlock key based on that ID NUMBER.
    • Each ID number/uninstall key pair is unique. If you write down the ID number, then close the prompt window, the uninstall key you obtain from that number will not work with a new uninstall.

IMPORTANT

  • If you have more than one account, uninstalling one account will not affect the others (even if you uninstall the MASTER ACCOUNT). You must uninstall ALL accounts in order for your entire account to be deactivated.
  • If someone else installed this service on your computer, then please be aware that our products are probably not like anything you're used to having on your computer. Our products are services, not software. Software can be installed and removed at will. Services cannot. Whoever downloaded our service onto your computer owns the service. It is assumed that you control access to your computer and therefore, our customer had permission to load our product onto your computer. Only the customer who purchased the product can authorize its removal by calling Technical Support and verifying his/her identity and leaving a message specifically authorizing you by name to remove the product. Once that happens, you may call Technical Support (phone number is located on the main page under Technical Support and we will assist you in removing the filter from your computer.

    We are not responsible for any attempt to remove the product without authorization. Such actions may damage your computer's functionality and produce unsupportable results.
